Yo, I sat through the new Odyssey pre-trailer and several savage reaction videos… and I gotta be honest with you:

This shit looks terrible. Christopher Nolan — the guy who gave us Inception, The Dark Knight, and Oppenheimer — is out here cooking what might become one of the most unnecessary and cynical woke shit ever, well guess what... you go woke you go broke! From the casting choices that scream “modern audience pandering” to the weird tone, strange visuals, and overall vibe that feels like they took one of the greatest stories ever told and decided to “fix” it for 2026 TikTok brains… it’s rough. I grew up with Homer’s Odyssey. That story is raw, brutal, masculine, and timeless. Odysseus is a savage, cunning warrior-king who lies, cheats, kills, and schemes his way home. Now we’re getting whatever this sanitized, diverse, “for a modern audience” slop is supposed to be. The early footage and breakdowns are not inspiring confidence at all. It feels like Nolan looked at the current state of Hollywood and said “hold my beer” instead of telling them to fuck off. I plugged a few videos for y’all to watch (they’re brutal and spot on). They break down everything that feels off — the casting, the tone, the creative decisions — and it’s not looking good. Look, I want to be wrong. I really do. Nolan has earned a lot of goodwill over the years. But right now? This pre-trailer is giving major “another Hollywood classic gets butchered” energy. What do you think?
